Global law firm Hogan Lovells continues its rapid expansion in Singapore with the appointment of data, privacy and cybersecurity expert Charmian Aw as a partner in the firm’s global regulatory and intellectual property practice.
Based in Singapore, Aw joins on February 25 from Squire Patton Boggs, bringing extensive experience in data privacy, cybersecurity, and technology transactions across the Asia-Pacific region.
This hire marks the firm’s fifth recent addition in Singapore, following the appointments of private equity and funds partners Siew Kam Boon, Timothy Goh, and Thomas Kim, as well as Rob Palmer in international arbitration.
In addition to these hires, Hogan Lovells recently expanded its Hong Kong office with the appointment of Michael Wong, a leading funds lawyer, and Maria Sit, a prominent regulatory enforcement and disputes expert, alongside their teams from Dechert.
These additions reflect the firm’s strategic investment across Asia, strengthening its capabilities in private funds, complex disputes, and cross-border investigations to meet the evolving needs of clients in the region.
Aw has particular expertise in navigating the complex landscape of data protection, cybersecurity, and technology transactions across Asia-Pacific. She has acted for numerous market-leading global corporations on high-value technology transactions and regulatory compliance initiatives spanning over 130 jurisdictions.
